When Sam heard, that there was a competition in Canada at Darkest Dust Stables, she decided, that Halfmoon-Stables would have to take part in at least one of the many disciplines. While browsing through the disciplines, she decided to enter Dressage with Redneck, as well as Showjumping with Steini, because they both could need some more experiences. After Redneck had placed first in his first competition and at least 12th in the Olympics, which was great, because this was only his second international competition. Of course Sam hoped to win this competition too and because she was sure, that Redneck was good, she decided to take him with her overseas.
After a long flight the horses needed to relax for a while. When the event started, they were already pretty calm, so Sam mounted Redneck and stroked his neck softly.
„Alright, we'll do our best, I know, that we can make it...“, she said and smiled, then she entered the riding area and stopped to greet the judges.
Their performance was good and Samantha could feel, that Redneck was calm and concentrated. The training, as well as the competitions had made him more self-confident and he liked to be the center of attention. When they closed their performance with a second halt and left the arena, Samantha was happy and content.
„What do you think?“, she asked Til, as she dismounted. He smiled and nodded.
„I think you were good... Rendeck is at his best! Let's see what the judges say!“
